Fear

Once you have met your deepest fears….really met them….invited them to the table…..embraced every ounce of you that embodies them instead of fighting what is……only then will you access your deepest power. To accept fear and go for what you want anyway is the real goal.

As you ascend the steps, and things slow down, vision narrowing— have you embraced your fears enough that they won’t enter the ring and replace your fight?

What you deny, you become more of and more of until one match you are face to face with what has always been there….you have no choice but to be exposed to all you have resisted.

I prefer training to be the place all that is exposed…that is what training is about….you bridge the gap between your fears and capabilities. Much failure exists in the practice. Training has to be completely fueled by learning and applying until the nuances are finely tuned under duress.

The history of North America as written by non-Natives is incomplete, for it is written by those who think they are conquerors.  The conqueror is the person who looks outside himself to make order, rather than clearing his own mind.  Pg 17 Voices of Our Ancestors

We are raised to conquer versus master ourselves….The art and science of Pugilism is all about self-regulation and purposeful action. You can only do this with a clear mind…one who has accepted her fate of difficulties to face and persists regardless will understand what her true nature is.
