Changing Habits

Changing habits should be about going for more of what you want, not getting away from something bad or resisting or witholding. The current habit is the way you are being….it’s so habitual that often you can’t even feel that you are doing it…….This is dangerous and debilitating. The true goal is to get more aware of your habits and patterns…to become an honest independent observer of what it actually is that you are repeating.

It is only when you can increase your awareness percentages that you can achieve some minor amount of autonomy. We are bound to our environments- awareness brings attention to how the bind occurs….it reveals our responses and reactions to environmental influences.

Supreme mental focus in the moment is what it takes……The ability to suspend judgement. It’s not an unemotional existence- more so a temporary suspension of irrational judgement so you can address the habit at hand.

You must be brutally hones….extremely forthright….only then can you grasp enough leverage to choose within the confines of each and every situation.
