A Fighter

To be called a fighter is somewhat misleading because your training is all about learning how to fight yourself less

The road to efficiency is paved in self responsibility and action.

You find your leverage by knowing how and where you don’t engage in it……you find your way by knowing you’re lost.

You are never on top, but it still feels damned good and you know better is around the bend.

The study of- the pursuit is filled with riches untold and agony divine. Your mind/body completely enthralled at all times at different RPM’s - even at rest……

I wish to solve problems and learn about new ones…..it’s interesting, it occupies my time.

And it feels better than engaging in fruitless behaviors with low yield. Losing focus happens, refocusing happens, failures, outcomes both desirable and undesirable are all a part of the travels I wish to live closer and closer to the honesty of the boxing ring.

When you hear the bell ring, that’s it……..the tunnel you walked into comes into focus, you and them and a blur of an official in your periphery. Sometimes a spectator steals your focus and you know you are in trouble if that is where you are mentally at….not in complete timing and rhythm with the task at hand. When you are there, dropped into the experience, steely focus…crystal clear….there’s hardly anywhere else you would rather live. Someday, I’ll tell you about my experiences in more vivid words….but for now, I’m curious what this evokes in you.
